Even though i am a big fan of social media and i use my phone almost all day and i feel that there is a disaster happened if the battery died. I think phones effect our social life negatively, as most of the people now have smartphones that they use all the time like i do and they only concentrate on the fake life, which is the social media even though i am a fan of i think it is fake as social media shows that everything is perfect. Many times that i have family gathering and most of the family members just sit holding their phones with out communicating. I think smart phones and technology now kill quality time that families even friends used to have. Also several times that I went out with my friends and each one of us was just sitting holding their phones, so I always think what is the point of going out together if we just sit using our phones. This shows that even though technology has positive effects, it has negative effects too.

She is talking about how AI is developing to the point that she is wondering if it may one day have conscious and feelings. She is saying that soon robots are going to be romantic partners, take care of children and fight is wars then science fiction will turn to science facts. She also talks about super intelligence can turn into consciousness. This ted talk was three years ago and she is talking about how AI are going to develop more in the future, which mean that this year that we are in now is part of the future she is talking about. The things that she is talking about are probably going to happen really soon.

i found this video very informative yet fas, so i wanted to share it. In the video it was shown how tools started by the invention of the bronze that removed the jobs of the people that use stone tools and then iron tools were invented and removed the jobs of bronze users. Then how machines were invented during the industrial revolution that also required only few people to work on. The video also gave modern examples of how machines became faster and much smarter as for instance, people that work in the bank are replaced by ATMs. Not only the basic jobs are being replaced, even jobs that require high skills due to the invention of artificial intelligence. He mentioned a very important point he said ” They could do many of the things that we thought made us human”. Replacement of humans even came to cooks that may be replaced by machines that know the recipes. 47% of the jobs are going to be replaced by technology in the future, which is actually terrifying.

I found this video is very interesting and funny. Also this video shows how robots can interact exactly like humans. Even Sophia friend zoned Will Smith when he tried to kiss and told him “I think we can be friends”. Even her artificial intelligence guided her what to do in this situation is a very good way, exactly like human beings.

“It is a small device the is placed in the chest to help control abnormal heart rhythms”, the fact that there is a device or actually a machine that is placed inside a person’s body is so weird and it may make the person feel not feel normal. Maybe a pacemaker maybe a benefit because it regulates the heartbeats of the people but yet i think it may turn them into cyborgs, but not an obvious cyborgs because the pacemakers are hidden inside their bodies. The idea for me maybe scary because I don’t know if this machine may develop and turn into something dangerous and harm this person in the end instead of benefiting him or her.

when i saw the videos about the sex dolls and the robot called Erica i was horrified. i was scared by the fact that these things are becoming so human like and are developing day after day. first when i saw the sex dolls and robots i was shocked of how they look so real and so human like, but what shocked me more is Erica the Japanese robot. Erica’s intelligence and the way she can keep the conversation going on is so human like. the problem is that humans are creating things that may be a huge threat later on. Robots like Erica may destroy the world in the future and she said that at the end of the video. Humans just want to create new things that they would be recognized for but they do not know the consequences of their creations.

Technology is now developing very fast that machines are becoming more human like day after day. Robots now can do human tasks and can realize people and act as humans. Moreover, machines can do many tasks that workers do and they are replacing them. This reminds me of the luddites and this shows that they had a vision of what may happen in the future because actually machines are taking the place of humans jobs that they took a lot of time to learn how to do. I also read that many jobs are not going to exist in the future because all those j0bs are going to be done by machines.

Last assignment that i did about my relationship with technology and how i use it on daily basis made me wonder if it really was necessary or not. For sure when i wrote the essay i realized that it became something necessary and no one could live without it, I personally can’t imagine not having my phone for only one day. But after the class i also realized that we are the ones who made it this necessary, as I thought about the people in the 20th century for example, they had no technology and they didn’t feel lost or anything and they lived they life normally. Of course technology made life easier and things can be done faster, but life is not impossible without technology as we think it is.

We discussed last time in class if violence in movies promote violence in children. In my opinion violence occurs within the people or within the society the children live in. Children see violence on daily basis and in my opinion movie makers do what people are interested in and they make violence movies according to the preference of the watchers. So for me movies shouldn’t be blamed for children’s violence, and that the society is responsible.

The documentary we watched about the boys that worked in the Greg’s factory showed that humans are becoming slaves not to only the people that they work for, but tat humans started to become slaves for the machines. because their lives depended on the machines, when the machines made a sound during the night time, they had to wake up and see what is wrong, when the machine wasn’t working they also stopped their work. so basically during that time, worker’s lives depended on the machines. in my opinion not only the workers, also their masters because if the machines got ruined they will gain no more profit and their money is going to decrease.
